Description
"This boat (number unknown) was hit at close range by machine gun fire. Holes in the gun tub are numerous yet the gunner survived unscathed, although a wire on his sound powered phone, that he was wearing, was severed. This incident most likely occurred on the Vinh Te Canal which had a tail spoil bank running along one side of the canal. The top of this bank was approximately the same height as the gun tub and allowed the VC gunner a close and direct line of fire at the tub." - Darryl S. Skuce, GMG2
