Comic Strips

Political cartoons are often semi-realistic drawings intended for satire or humor.  The following slideshow contains examples of cartoons depicting Swift Boats and Swift Boat Sailors during the Vietnam War.  Philippine American editorial cartoonist and comic’s artist, Francisco Flores Trinidad, Jr. (“Corky”), illustrated the Vietnam War comic strip “Nguyen Charlie”.   A popular comic strip created by Roy Crane, an influential American cartoonist, depicting Swift Boat Sailors is “Buz Sawyer”.  Please use the left and right arrows located in the middle/sides of the slideshow or click on the dots under the cartoons to navigate through the images.
